Thirty-sixth Conference on New York State History
I was thrilled to participate in the “Thirty-sixth Conference on New York State History” this past June 18th. Held at Niagara University in Lewiston, New York from June 18th through the 20th, the Program Committee selected my proposal on “The Bridge and Staten Island: Unplanned Chaos and Disorder” for presentation in the session: “Impact of Government Planning on Local Communities.” I presented along with Professor Kenneth Mernitz of SUNY Buffalo State whose paper “Another Approach to Building a Dam: Robert Moses at Niagara, 1956 – 1962” was a fascinating look at the Master Builder and his impact on community.
